While Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots isn’t out until June 12, its street date has been broken in Europe. A handful of copies sold quickly on eBay, and first-hand details of the title are coming in already.
Member Paul-H-UK from Europe’s Official PlayStation Community provided the following information from the game’s manual.
“Extra content (DLC) Includes:
· New Weapons
· New Music Files
· Camouflage Patterns
· And Other extras for the main game? (whatever the hell that means)
Virtual Range – Get a feel for the controls and practice firing your weapon
New Game
· Liquid Easy
· Naked Normal
· Solid Normal
· Big Boss Hard
· The Boss Extreme
Vest - You can change the color of your vest
Drebin Points – when snake acquires more than one of the same weapon, extra weapons will be automatically be sold for Drebin points.
Drebin Points can be used for the following:
· Gun Laundering, unlocking ID Tagged Weapon
· Buying Weapons/ammo
· Customizing weapons
Reputation – Turn enemy’s into allies?
Soldier Emotion – represented by an icon when using the solid eye
· Fear
· Sorrow
· Joy
· Rage
Metal Gear Online – Metal Gear Solid 4 Characters will be joining the fight too
Silhouettes can be seen of
· Old Snake
· Meryl
· Raiden
· 4 others that I don’t recognize
Konami ID – Is used for accessing services provided by Konami
Game ID – Is a universal personal ID for accessing Konami online content
PSN ID – To play metal gear online you must sign in to the PlayStation Network
The servers go live on June 12.”
